On the shores of Loch Rannoch at Kinloch Rannoch, this three-bedroom Highland lodge sleeps up to eight and suits families or couples travelling together. The conservatory frames views over the freshwater loch, footpaths lead into 7 acres of wooded grounds shared with other holiday properties on the estate, and a private sauna sits indoors for quieter hours.
The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has a vaulted ceiling, with comfortable sofas facing the TV and a good-sized dining table up one shallow step in the kitchen/dining area. The living space leads to a light-filled conservatory looking across the loch, where sliding doors pull back onto a Juliet balcony. By prior agreement, two of the party can sleep in the lounge on a pull-down double bed. All three double bedrooms have zip-and-link beds that can be made up as twins if requested in advance; one has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, a separate shower, and a WC, while two family shower rooms with WCs serve the other bedrooms. The 7 acres of woodland and footpaths are shared with the rest of the estate. Parking is in the on-site car parks on a first come, first served basis.
The freshwater expanse of Loch Rannoch lies on the doorstep, with a section of the 5-mile Rannoch Forest Trail to follow and Tay Forest Park 2.5 miles away for waymarked footpaths and wildlife spotting. Canoes and kayaks can be hired nearby. Loch Tummel is 7.5 miles away, and the far-reaching outlook from Queen's View Visitor Centre is 14 miles from the estate. Aberfeldy is 18 miles away, while Pitlochry is 25 miles away.
