This one-bedroom lodge sits on the banks of Loch Rannoch within the Loch Rannoch Highland Club, ringed by high hills and ancient Caledonian pine forest, and makes a quiet base for couples or a small family who want their days spent outdoors with their furry best friend. Loch views reach in through almost every window, and hill walking and cycling, as well as water sports, all start within the grounds.
The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has rich wood tones and soft neutral shades, with seating and lighting, plus a Smart TV. A double sofa bed in the lounge takes two extra guests. Patio doors at the rear of the space open into a conservatory with a Juliet balcony, so that Rex can grab some fresh air and enjoy views across the water. The double zip-and-link bedroom can be made up as a twin on request, with the shower room and WC serving the lodge. Cots and highchairs are available on request. The lodge has no private outdoor space. Ample parking sits across the park on a first-come, first-served basis.
Kinloch Rannoch, a small highland village looking out over the loch, is within easy reach and covers the everyday essentials, from a village shop to somewhere to eat and drink. Dog walkers and climbers have several Munros to choose from, including Schiehallion at 7 miles, while cycling is available in the area. Wildlife can often be spotted around the village and in its gardens. Tay Forest Park, 12 miles away, spreads a network of dramatic woodland across Highland Perthshire and holds some of the country's tallest trees alongside long views over the glens.
