Looking out across Loch Rannoch to the hills beyond, this two-bedroom lodge within the Loch Rannoch Highland Club gives families and groups of friends a Highland base with wildlife spotting nearby. Sleeping up to six, it pairs a quiet waterside setting with days on nearby Munros and the water, as well as forest trails in Highland Perthshire.
The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner sits at the heart of the lodge, its earthy tones echoing the colours outside and its seating angled towards the loch and surrounding hills. A Smart TV is provided, and the sofa converts into a double sofa bed. The dining table shares the same vantage point, while a large set of patio doors at the rear opens into a conservatory with uninterrupted views over the water, a quiet corner for reading. Both bedrooms have double zip-and-link beds that can be made up as twins on request, and one has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. A shower room with WC serves the second bedroom. The lodge has no outdoor space of its own. Guests have use of a private sauna. Ample parking is available across the park on a first come, first served basis.
The village of Kinloch Rannoch lies a short drive away, with everyday amenities and places to eat and drink among the Highland landscapes that surround it. Walkers have a good choice of Munros within reach, Schiehallion among them at 7 miles, its distinctive cone rising above the glen. Tay Forest Park, 12 miles away, offers great viewpoints in Highland Perthshire.
