Set above the shores of Loch Rannoch and surrounded by ancient Caledonian pine forest, this one-bedroom lodge gives couples or small families a Highland base with days spent outdoors in mind. Views reach across the water to the hills beyond, and wildlife is often spotted around the grounds. Hill walking and cycling start close by, with water sports also available nearby and quiet evenings indoors to follow.
The open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area forms the heart of the lodge, with windows framing the loch. Soft furnishings and ambient lighting feature in the lounge, where a double sofa bed sleeps a further two guests and a Smart TV is provided. A country cottage style dining table sits alongside. Patio doors lead into the light-filled conservatory, which looks out over the loch and hills, with a Juliette balcony opening off it. The double zip-and-link bedroom, which can be made up as a twin on request, carries the same calm tone as the rest of the interior. A shower room with WC completes the accommodation. The lodge has no private outdoor space. Parking is in the park's car parks on a first come, first served basis.
The small Highland village of Kinloch Rannoch lies a short drive away, circled by high hills. Several Munros are within reach for climbers, among them Schiehallion, 7 miles away, while loch-side routes and rolling hill tracks suit both walkers and cyclists. Tay Forest Park, 12 miles away, has woodland trails leading to some of Highland Perthshire's most iconic viewpoints, and water sports are available around Loch Rannoch.
