This two-bedroom lodge sits within the Loch Rannoch Highland Club, deep in the Scottish Highlands, with Schiehallion rising beyond the water and loch views from almost every window. Made for families and groups of friends whose days are spent on hill trails and cycle routes, it sleeps four, with a double sofa bed providing space for two more. A private sauna is available for unwinding after a day outdoors.
The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is filled with natural light, with an outlook across the loch to the hills behind. Country cottage style sits alongside more contemporary touches. Plush sofas face the water, and one converts into a double bed for additional guests. A large set of patio doors opens into the conservatory, where a Juliette balcony and further seating make the most of the loch views. Two double zip-and-link bedrooms are decorated in soft Scottish tones, and both can be made up as twins on request. One has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC, while a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC serves the second. The private sauna sits within the lodge itself. The property has no private outdoor space. The surrounding grounds of the Loch Rannoch Highland Club offer hill walking and cycling, while water sports hire is also available. Parking is available in the site car parks on a first come, first served basis.
The Highland village of Kinloch Rannoch overlooks the loch and has a shop for daily provisions, along with places to eat and drink. The high hills around it are rich in wildlife, often spotted close to the gardens. Schiehallion, a splendid Munro, is 7 miles from the door. Tay Forest Park, home to some of Scotland's tallest trees, lies within 12 miles. Horse riding and further cycle trails are within easy reach.
