This modern two-bedroom lodge sits within a peaceful holiday park on the North Cornwall coast, 1 mile from Tintagel and 0.5 miles from secluded dog-friendly Bossiney Cove. It sleeps a family or two couples, and the pooch can come too. Inside, the living space is open-plan and full of light, and outside there's an enclosed deck. It makes a relaxed base for exploring this rugged stretch of coastline and the Arthurian legends that surround it.
Double-aspect windows and an apex ceiling frame the open-plan living area, which has two sofas and a Smart TV. A dining table seating four sits beside a window, next to the adjoining kitchen. Sleeping arrangements comprise a double bedroom with ensuite shower room with WC and two twin bedrooms, served by a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. French doors lead from the main living space onto a raised, enclosed decked area with wooden garden furniture for al fresco dining. The timber exterior is reached through a gate, and parking is provided for one car.
Bossiney Cove lies 0.5 miles away down steep steps. At low tide, a sandy beach appears, with rock pools to explore and sea caves beneath the cliffs – there are no seasonal dog restrictions. Rocky Valley, a National Trust site also 0.5 miles away, follows the Trevillet River through woodland to a dramatic slate gorge. A cafe and shop are 0.5 miles from the lodge. Tintagel, 1 mile away, has a pub and a restaurant, plus the medieval Old Post Office with its cottage garden. Tintagel Castle (1.5 miles) sits in a striking coastal setting steeped in Arthurian stories, and King Arthur's legends are told in stained glass at the Great Halls. St Nectan's Glen, 1.5 miles away, has a woodland trail leading to its waterfalls. Boscastle, with its Museum of Witchcraft and Magic beside the harbour, is also within easy reach.
