This dog-friendly lodge sits within a holiday park 1 mile from Tintagel, a comfortable two-bedroom base for a family or two couples exploring North Cornwall. It sleeps four, with countryside views all around the raised deck and Arthurian legend, wooded valleys, and the coast path close by.
The open-plan living area is decorated in neutral colours, with two large sofas and a Smart TV in the lounge. The kitchen sits alongside a dining table for four. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. The good-sized twin bedroom is served by a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC, and both bedrooms have plenty of storage. Patio doors lead from the living space onto an enclosed raised deck with patio furniture. The lodge is reached by a gravelled path, then a few steps up to a gate onto the deck. Private parking for one car is beside the lodge.
The South West Coast Path is 500 metres from the lodge and leads to Boscastle (3 miles), a historic fishing village with a harbour and the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic. Rocky Valley (0.5 miles) follows the Trevillet River through ancient woodland and between steep slate walls towards the sea. A beach is also 0.5 miles away, as are a café and a shop. Tintagel's main street has cafés and bakeries, and the medieval Old Post Office is also worth a visit. King Arthur's Great Halls, with its Pre-Raphaelite stained glass, is another draw. A pub and a restaurant are 1 mile away. Tintagel Castle (1.5 miles) pairs dramatic coastal scenery with its King Arthur connections, and at St Nectan's Glen (1.5 miles) woodland surrounds a series of waterfalls. Bossiney Cove is within easy reach, with rock pools and sea caves to explore at low tide and dogs welcome on the sand.
