This airy, pet-friendly lodge sits on a friendly holiday park 1 mile from Tintagel. It gives a small family or two couples with a canine companion an easy base on North Cornwall's rugged coastline, with a private hot tub waiting at the end of each day. A path across the road leads down to a dog-friendly cove, so a day can start with rockpooling on the sand and finish with a long soak in the hot tub.
Two sets of patio doors bring light into the open-plan living area, where an apex ceiling rises above two sofas and a Smart TV. A wooden dining table sits in the same space, and the kitchen runs alongside. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with WC. The twin bedroom is served by a separate family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. Patio doors open onto an enclosed, raised decked area with garden furniture for al fresco dining, along with a private hot tub. Private parking for one car is provided at the front of the lodge.
Across the road, a path leads to Bossiney Cove (0.5 miles), which welcomes pup pals, although it is reached via steep cliff steps. At low tide it reveals rock pools and sea caves, and you can swim and snorkel there too. Follow the coast path to Rocky Valley (0.5 miles), where the Trevillet River runs through woodland and a dramatic slate gorge on its way to the sea. A café and shop are also 0.5 miles away. Tintagel (1 mile) is full of bakeries, pubs, and shops, and the Old Post Office there is a medieval longhouse in the heart of the village. At St Nectan's Glen (1.5 miles), woodland paths lead towards impressive waterfalls, and Boscastle is 3 miles from the lodge.
