This modern two-bedroom timber lodge, built in an Alpine style, makes a welcoming base for a family or two couples holidaying with their dog on the North Cornwall coast. It sits in a holiday park within the Cornwall National Landscape, 1 mile from Tintagel, with views of the surrounding countryside from a raised deck and the coast path close by.
The living, dining, and kitchen areas share one bright open-plan space, with double-aspect windows and an apex ceiling overhead. Comfortable sofas face the Smart TV in the lounge area. The dining table stands beside French windows that look out over the countryside. The two bedrooms are a double and a twin, served by a family bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC. An enclosed, raised deck wraps around the lodge, with patio furniture for breakfast or dinner outdoors. Private parking for one car is provided in front of the lodge.
The coast path leads to Rocky Valley (0.5 miles), where the Trevillet River runs through woodland and between towering slate walls before reaching the sea. A cafe and a shop are 0.5 miles away, and so is the beach. In Tintagel (1 mile), you'll find a pub and a restaurant. A bakery and places for coffee are also in the village, and the medieval Old Post Office is a National Trust property with its own cottage garden. Tintagel Castle (1.5 miles) has ruins and Arthurian stories to explore, and its cafe looks out to sea. A woodland path within easy reach leads to St Nectan's Glen, where waterfalls fall among the trees. At nearby Bossiney Cove, low tide uncovers sand and rock pools. Elephant Rock is there to find. Boscastle, 3 miles along the coast, is built around a historic harbour.
