Places to stay for a dog-friendly spring break

Ellen Drowne 11 March 2026

Spring is a beautiful time of year in the UK and Ireland. Green shoots are blossoming into colourful floral displays in parks, gardens, hedgerows and meadows, the evenings are drawing out, and the temperature is rising from those chilly winter depths.

For dog owners, it’s a sign of hope that the wellies and waterproofs can soon be abandoned in favour of lightweight trainers (perhaps walking sandals on especially warm days?) and fewer layers. And it promises drier, less muddy walks! In short, it’s the perfect opportunity to get out and about with your canine companion by your side.

To inspire your dog-friendly getaway this spring, we’ve compiled a selection of properties from across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. They all provide the ideal base for discovering new places, and offer a window onto our full collection of dog-friendly accommodation. Where will your spring break take you?
