Enjoy a country escape in this delightful holiday home nestled amongst the Worcestershire countryside. The property, which sleeps four guests and three canine buddies, suits both small families and couples seeking peace and serenity. Spend the day exploring the nearby town of Tenbury Wells (7 miles) or taking a long hike with the hounds through the Shropshire Hills, before returning to your picturesque retreat for an al fresco supper in the garden or a cosy movie night with the family.
The welcoming holiday cottage is an annexe of the owner’s home and is set on a quiet smallholding. The home-away-from-home has a contemporary feel, with neutral paintwork and a collection of accessories and soft furnishings in tones to reflect the surrounding leafy landscape. The main living space is a bright and inviting lounge/diner, with triple-aspect windows, wooden floors (ideal for dealing with muddy pawprints), and pretty artwork adorning the walls. Relax here, after a day of adventure, watching a film on the Smart TV and sharing tasty meals around the wooden dining table. The separate, country-style kitchen has everything needed for a self-catering break, and the adjoining boot room is perfect for storing all your dog-walking gear. The property has a ground-floor super king-size bedroom with an en-suite bathroom which can be arranged as twin beds on request, and a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room on the first floor. Completing this level is a quiet reading nook/workstation located on the landing. Please note, the first floor has sloping ceilings and restricted head height in some areas. Outside, the enclosed garden boasts far-reaching views across the fields and has a large lawn where your four-pawed pals can play. You’ll also find furniture for al fresco dining and private parking for up to three cars.
Tenbury Wells is an ancient market town, full of historic buildings and fascinating landmarks. The town has some excellent independent shops, and also hosts regular outdoor markets. Tenbury Wells is a great starting point for a walk alongside the pack, with popular routes taking you along the river and through the scenic Teme Valley. You’ll find further walking routes amongst the trees in Wyre Forest (16.7 miles) – a good choice for the woofers on a hot summer’s day. Further afield, enjoy day trips to the historic towns of Ludlow and Leominster, both within 16 miles.
