Find somewhere comfy to rest your feet (or paws) in this delightful castle, where the dining room, lounge and games room greet you on the ground floor and seven impressive bedrooms await upstairs. Both the dining room and lounge feature open fires that invite you to curl up with your pup at your feet, planning for days ahead and nursing a wee dram. The lounge is also equipped with a smart TV for lazy nights lounging on the sofa, whilst the games room features a pool table, chess and poker for more competitive evenings in. Be sure to throw open French doors when blessed with bright and sunny weather, dining alfresco whilst Rover and the gang enjoy free roam of the outdoor space.

Discover an abundance of adventure close by in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, stepping off from your doorstep to let your pup sniff out and chase local wildlife whilst you take in the view. Flock to nearby Campbeltown (3 miles) as a base for exploring the glorious Kintyre peninsula with its stunning sea views, or head to the wide sandy expanse of Machrihanish Beach (6 miles) where your dogs can chase a tennis ball, splash in the sea and feel the sand beneath their paws.

Absolutely fabulous, all the family thoroughly enjoyed their stay. So much space and the hot tub was a bonus. There was everything and more that you could think of in the castle Lovely owners and Iain and Jamie were stars. Kilchrist Castle was superb holiday accommodation for our large family gathering - 13 in all, so we fitted in perfectly. Everything was very comfortable and well equipped. This place is AMAZING! Our international group of 9 had the best experience possible here. One clarification, one of the rooms with 2 singles is accessed through one of the main rooms. I either missed that information or it wasn't clear in the description. It had zero effect on my party, but thought it could others. Came down with all the family for a week away, and everyone had such a great time. Lovely spacious rooms and grounds which made us feel like royalty. The castle was well equipped for large groups and we would highly recommend.

We took our extended family for a weeks stay over August 22 and I cannot recommend it enough The Castle itself is steeped in history and is beautifully decorated and furnished to the highest level. There was lots of room both inside the Castle and within the extended grounds for everyone to have their own space. Excellent and comfortable holiday home for a large group of adults and teenagers set in peaceful countryside. We had a most enjoyable family holiday staying at Kilchrist Castle. We were celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday and he owners had very thoughtfully decorated the outside door and entrance hall with birthday banners, which was a lovely touch. The castle itself was very warm, comfortable and well equipped. Kilchrist castle was beautifully decorated , the best equipt property I have ever stayed in. The whole area was stunning, a wonderful relaxing holiday.
