Sitting close to the legend-laden shores of Loch Ness, this former ferryman's dwelling ensures both you and your canine companion will have a ball without compromising on luxury or location. Enjoy leisurely waterside walks and longer hikes along the Great Glen Way, then unwind in your fully enclosed garden where a fire pit and undercover hot tub offer the ultimate in laid-back luxury.

This exquisitely renovated, romantic sanctuary welcomes a couple and their four-pawed plus-one into a world of contemporary Highland charm. Once home to the boatman who ferried passengers across the nearby river, it’s a studio-style space with a cosy living area featuring comfortable armchairs positioned before a wood burner-effect gas fire – the perfect spot for pup to curl up after adventurous days out. The adjacent cottage-style kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining space, while at the other end of the room, a beautiful brass-framed bed beckons. Close by, the bathroom adds to the dreamy ambience with an inviting roll-top bath. Your holiday paradise extends into a magnificent enclosed garden where the dog can doze safely on the lawn while you unwind in the undercover hot tub. A raised decking area offers additional seating, and the feature pond adds ambience as evening draws in around the crackling firepit.

Holiday here and you’re perfectly positioned to explore some of Scotland's most spectacular dog-friendly terrain. The property sits directly on the Great Glen Way, offering endless walking opportunities through Glen Urquhart and Glen Moriston, while the nearby Abriachan Forest provides 1.5 miles of woodland trails where Fido will leave no stick ‘unfetched’. For a change of pace, take a scenic drive to Inverness (15 miles); the Moray Firth offers further leg-stretching opportunities. Alternatively, Fort Augustus (19 miles) welcomes four-legged visitors to wander its historic streets and canal-side. Back in Drumnadrochit, well-behaved dogs are welcome at the Loch Ness Centre which is within 200 metres of your doorstep.

This is a beautiful small cottage in the heart of the village. The quality and design of the interior was of a very high standard. The mix of old and new is perfectly done. The kitchen area is small but has everything thing you need to cook meals. Everything was immaculate, smelled good and was extremely comfortable. The garden was beautiful too anRead mored ideal for the dog to run around. This is not a remote or rural location so there is a bit of road noise. The flip side is that you have easy access to some shops and cafes. If you have a dog that likes big open spaces to run, then just stroll up to the campsite about a mile away where there is an enclosed field. Hide
