A romantic rural retreat in the heart of the Kent countryside on the Broome Park Estate, this is the perfect location for a couple and their furry friend to have a relaxing break. It has gorgeous views, 3.5 acres of garden for you all to enjoy, and lots of pretty walks and interesting places to visit nearby.
The cottage has heaps of character with original features, an elegant lounge, a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area perfect for two. A wrought-iron staircase leads up to the spacious double bedroom, which boasts a stunning en-suite shower room. Back downstairs, French doors from the lounge lead out to the large patio and impressive gardens. There are a tail-wagging 3.5 acres to enjoy, encompassing a cottage garden, lawns, and woodland, all enclosed and all yours to explore with your trusty canine companion.
There are lovely walks right from the door on footpaths that wend their way through the rolling hills and fields nearby. Jumping Downs, a 6-hectare nature reserve, is about 1 mile from the house where there are several walking routes. The Kent coast is 11.5 miles away with stunning walks – start by exploring the village of St Margaret’s-at-Cliffe (12 miles away) and St Margaret’s Bay in White Cliffs Country. For a day out, head to medieval Canterbury (11 miles) to see the stunning cathedral and visit the city’s museums. Being based on the Broome Park Estate, you can enjoy a game of golf as day members at the Golf and Country Club. Wander across the fields to the local pub, which has a good restaurant, and you’ll find an excellent village store in Barham (2.5 miles away). Bridge, a 5.5-mile drive, has a convenience store, post office, gift shop and a couple of pubs.
