Stay at this dog-friendly lodge in Templeton, Pembrokeshire, for a scenic Welsh trip with your partner and pet. You’ll be in a convenient location 200 metres from a dog-welcoming village pub and 5 miles from the sparkling sea at Saundersfoot. The beautifully presented property has one king-size bed, so is ideal for a solo traveller or couple, with one dog welcome.
You’ll enter into a glorious open-plan living area with a gently vaulted ceiling and attractive wooden beams. This room is the lounge, kitchen, diner and bedroom all in one, and has the kitchen at one end and the sleeping area at the other. There’s a two-seater sofa and TV for cuddling up in front of a film, and a dining table for romantic meals. A glass door leads out to the glorious enclosed garden, featuring a large lawn where your pet can chow down on her holiday bone, and a patio for dining alfresco. In the evenings, spark up the BBQ firepit and sizzle up some sausages for a fresh-air meal washed down with some delicious wine.
At Saundersfoot, join the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and take your pet on long, satisfying walks taking in clifftops, beaches and wooded sections. Saundersfoot has some beach restrictions for dogs during the summer months, but a little further away at Telpyn Beach (6 miles), there are none. Minwear Wood (6 miles) is a great spot for walking, while at Rosebush Quarry (14 miles), you and your pet can enjoy a chilly wild swim. The coastal resort of Tenby (8 miles) is a great option for a day out, as is Pembroke (11.5 miles), where you can pick up souvenirs and visit the castle, which welcomes well-behaved dogs on leads.
