Pet-friendly holidays and accommodation in Haworth

If you’re looking for a literary village which also welcomes non-bookish family members, then Haworth is the place for you. Well known for its connection to the Bronte sisters who wrote many of their novels at the iconic parsonage, this charming haven in the middle of Bronte country is the perfect place for your pups. Amble around the sweet little shops along the cobbled historic streets where Fido is welcome too, pop into the Bronte Museum if there’s a group of you (sadly no paws allowed in so one person and dog might have to stop for a rest) and then reward patient pups with a treat at one of the many welcoming tearooms and pubs before heading off for an afternoon walk in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

If you can tear yourself away from this picturesque village, the walks are plentiful. Start with the Bronte Way, though the full 43 miles may be a bit much for little legs! Penistone Hill on Haworth Moor is an easy walk from the village as is Top Withens and Bronte Falls, the latter famously featured in Wuthering Heights. Stop for a spot of lunch in a pretty country pub – there are many that welcome dogs in and around the Dales. Experience the best of this lovely part of Yorkshire from one of our collection of dog-friendly holiday cottages in Haworth. Sit back in an enclosed garden, tired hound at your feet, in warmer weather or cuddle up together in front of a crackling fire during the winter season. Whenever you choose to come, our dog-friendly accommodation in Haworth will have something for all the family.
