This home-away-from-home is set on the hills above the village of Cowling and enjoys panoramic views across the Yorkshire countryside. The property sleeps five guests and three canine chums, making it ideal for families and groups of friends. You’ll have a fantastic choice of walks in the area and can join the Pennine Way in the surrounding farmland. The sociable property has an open-plan layout and a gorgeous, south-facing outdoor area for al fresco dining.
The cottage has been converted from an original weaver’s barn and is decorated in a contemporary style. At the heart of the home is a spacious lounge/diner, with exposed beams, countryside views, and wooden floors (ideal for your hairy guests). Relax on the comfortable leather sofas to watch the TV/DVD and gather around the dining table for memorable mealtimes. The kitchen is also located on the ground floor, along with a double bedroom and en-suite wet room. A family bedroom with a double and a single bed is located on the first floor, as well as a bathroom. Outside, bask in the peace and tranquillity on the shared patio, whilst sipping a glass of wine and admiring the dramatic scenery. There is also an enclosed grassed area where the pups can play, and secure storage for outdoor gear.
The ancient town of Skipton (9 miles) is a must for the itinerary. With its cobbled streets and historic buildings, the town is a paradise for photographers. At its heart is the fairy-tale Skipton Castle, which is one of the best-preserved medieval fortresses in the country, and four-legged visitors are welcome on leads. The town has an excellent range of independent eateries and a popular open-air market. After lunch, enjoy an amble in Skipton Castle Woods or let the hounds lead the way along the canal’s picturesque towpath.
