Amble is home to the UK’s only puffin festival – take the Puffin Cruise from Amble Harbour and marvel at the 36,000-bird colony which nests in the RSPB seabird sanctuary on Coquet Island. Friendly dogs are welcome aboard, just make sure that they have their sea-paws before you embark! Closer to home, take a stroll around Amble Harbour Village where you can try out the freshest fish at the seafood centre and browse for gifts amongst the arts and crafts shops.
