Take a day trip to nearby Warkworth Beach where you can walk the long stretch of sand and pop into the famous dog-friendly pub, The Masons Arms, for a pint of the best local ale and a bowl of water for your dog. Amble is home to the UK’s only puffin festival. Take the Puffin Cruise from Amble Harbour and marvel at the 36,000-bird colony which nests in the RSPB seabird sanctuary on Coquet Island.
