With swoon-worthy views across the Atlantic, this stylish apartment in Port Isaac makes a wonderful coastal escape for families or small groups holidaying with a dog. It’s on the first floor of an elegant Edwardian villa, located less than 500 metres from the village’s picturesque harbour and cove, where children can paddle and explore rock pools while dogs frolic in the sand. The surrounding coastline is packed with memorable scenery, and Port Isaac itself – famously featured in Doc Martin – is a lovely place to wander, with winding streets, traditional cottages and easy access to the South West Coast Path (500 metres).
On arrival, you’ll climb a set of steps to the building’s front door, and from there stairs take you to the first-floor apartment. Inside, the property has a bright open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining space, with a bay window and glass doors leading to a Juliet balcony frame the sea views. On sunny days, open the French doors to let in the coastal breeze while you relax on the comfortable sofa with a film on the Smart TV, with your furry friends at your feet. The kitchen area has everything you need for self-catering, with a dining table and breakfast bar for relaxed mealtimes and snacking. When it’s time for bed, you’ll have one double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a second bedroom featuring a double bed with a single bed over the top. Both have Smart TVs. A family bathroom completes the inside space. Outside, enjoy the sea breezes with your pet in the garden, which has a picnic bench positioned to make the most of the far-reaching coastal views. There’s also a storage hut for wetsuits and surfboards. Parking is available on the street nearby or in a public car park, subject to availability.
