Tucked between the scenic villages of Pickering and Thornton-le-Dale, this charming pet-friendly cottage is a wonderful escape for four guests and their four-legged explorers. With a 20-acre dog-walking field, wood burner and a bubbling hot tub, it’s the perfect base for pawsome adventures by day and cosy evenings at night.
Step inside and find a warm, open-plan living space. After a day of muddy woodland walks or coastal adventures, stretch out on the plush sofas in the lounge while your faithful hound curls up beside the wood burner. The stylish kitchen is well equipped for preparing family favourites and includes handy extras like a wine cooler and dishwasher. Upstairs, the king-size master bedroom overlooks the peaceful courtyard, while the second bedroom has zip-and-link twin beds (which can be made into a super-king-size on request), ideal for families or friends travelling together. Both rooms have TVs, so you can enjoy a lazy morning lie-in. The modern bathroom awaits for a relaxing soak after those long, rewarding walks. To the rear, your private enclosed garden is a safe and sunny spot for curious pups to potter while you sit back with a glass of something chilled. Fire up the BBQ, sink into the hot tub, and soak up the serenity of your surroundings. At the front, a raised patio has further seating with lovely views across the courtyard and towards the Vale of Pickering. There's parking for one car with extra slots available on site.
1 mile away, you can hop aboard the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Pickering’s heritage station and take a steam train ride through spectacular scenery – a great day out for the whole pack. Dalby Forest, 5 miles away, is a paradise for walkers and tail-waggers, with miles of trails to sniff out and investigate. Looking for some salty sea air? Head to the dog-friendly beaches of Whitby, Scarborough or Filey, all less than 25 miles away – ideal for sandy paws and ice cream stops. When it’s time to refuel, a nearby farm shop and welcoming country pub, 1.5 miles away, offer local treats and happily host well-behaved pups, too.
