Property code: OC-77509

The cottage enjoys a peaceful setting amongst a small complex of similar holiday homes within the stunning Peak District countryside. The property sleeps six guests and three furry chums, making it ideal for both families and groups of friends. The surrounding area is awash with pretty walks to explore with the pack, and nearby attractions include Chatsworth House and Gardens (7.5 miles) and the historic village of Eyam (2.5 miles).

The stone cottage has a beautiful blend of period features, rich fabrics, and elegant furniture to create a stylish backdrop to your holiday. The main living area is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with underfloor heating and ample space for you and the pups to spread out and relax. Prepare home-cooked feasts in the sleek kitchen area and share family mealtimes around the extendable dining table. In the evenings, watch a film on the TV/DVD as your furry friends stretch out in front of the roaring wood burner. A handy utility room is the perfect spot for storing muddy boots and dog leads. Upstairs, you''ll find three tastefully decorated bedrooms with sloping ceilings and exposed beams. Choose from king-size room with an en-suite shower room, and served by the family bathroom, a double and a twin. Outside, the hounds can play on the enclosed lawn as you tend to the charcoal BBQ and share al fresco suppers on the patio.

Spend a relaxing afternoon pottering around the attractive streets of Bakewell (6.5 miles), popping into its independent shops and being sure to sample the delicious Bakewell pudding in one of the many woof-welcoming cafes. There are some gorgeous walks in Bakewell, including along the River Wye and the traffic-free Monsal Trail. The Heights of Abraham (16 miles) also make for a great doggy day out.

Cottage benefits from great location. Pub nearby but slow service. EV charging available. Great walks nearby. Cottage could be greatly improved with a thorough clean and new appliances installed ( washing machine and dishwasher very poor condition) . WiFi network not great in cottage.

The cottage was lovely and very cozy. The location was great, with potential for long walks but also close to the village and pub. We all enjoyed our stay very much and would consider returning in the future.

Range oven not working one side and other oven door seal broken allowing heat escape making cooking difficult for 6 all week. Owner advised but did not hear back as told. Main bedroom mattress uncomfortable and lumpy. Saucepans, frying pans etc. dirty on arrival with previous guests food. Consider that the blind cords in bedroom are dangerouRead mores for children and no window locks to prevent a fall. No stairgate for young children. Wardrobe door very stiff to open and close. No potato masher, whisk or saucepan to fit steamer otherwise equipped. No fire glove for log burner door which gets very hot. Lovely location the area there's plenty to do and places to visit. Unfortunately a disappointing stay due to issues found for the price. Hide

The perfect cottage in the perfect location! Like a home from home, very comfortable and beautifully presented. The location is perfect, an ideal base for exploring the Peak District with lots of local walks nearby. We came home yesterday and are already looking at rebooking this cottage.
