This stylish apartment for two humans and two hounds is in the attractive, limestone village of Foolow. Enjoy stunning walks from the property through the rolling hills of the Peak District National Park, before refuelling in your local pub, just 0.5 miles away. Nearby doggy days out include Chatsworth House and Gardens (8 miles) and the Heights of Abraham (16 miles).

The decor in the studio apartment is sleek and contemporary, with beautifully rich tones and textured fabrics. The main living space is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can whip up delicious dinners for two to share at the intimate dining table. After a long walk with your four-pawed buddies, relax on the sofa or in the armchair to read a book or watch a film on the Smart TV. When night falls, retire to the fabulous king-size bedroom for a well-earned rest. A contemporary wet room with underfloor heating completes the accommodation. Outside, soak up the sunshine and admire the far-reaching views in the shared courtyard, where you’ll find an array of seating for outdoor dining.

The pretty town of Bakewell (6.5 miles) makes a lovely day out. Sample the town’s tasty Bakewell pudding in one of the paw-friendly cafes, before embarking on a walk with the woofers along the traffic-free Monsal Trail or following the banks of the River Wye. For history enthusiasts, a trip to the fascinating village of Eyam (2.5 miles) is a must, to learn about the important role the villagers played in bringing a stop to the 17th-century plague. The village also has a great selection of woof-welcoming cafes and tearooms.
