Top dog-friendly fishing holidays

Ed Roberts 05 February 2024

If you are a keen angler, your dog can be a great companion – just remember to keep the lid on your bait box! We’ve all done it: headed down to the riverside, sat down with the dog, and attached a bit of juicy bait to the line while, unbeknownst to you, your hound has polished off the rest.

Otherwise, your four-legged chum is perhaps the ultimate fishing buddy. They don’t look at their watches, get impatient, or laugh when a fish gets away; if anything, they welcome the quality time spent together and they love to watch you reel in and then release your prized catches back into the water.

We have many dog-friendly fishing lodges and pet-friendly coastal cottages for you to discover, as well as riverside cottages if you're after a spot of river fishing. So, if you're planning a pet-friendly fishing holiday, get your fishing license in order and check out the following dog-friendly fishing lodges and cottages in our collection where you can unwind this season.
