Experience a holiday in the lap of luxury, based in this charming five star lodge on the Isle of Wight. Located just 4 miles from the sea, the property is the ideal choice for couples seeking a romantic break with their VIP canine in tow. Spend your days exploring, discovering a myriad of sleepy towns and villages and sniffing out scenic walks along the coastline. At night, your cosy abode awaits complete with a wood burner that’s perfect for fireside snoozes.

Secluded by trees and tucked by the water’s edge, the property exudes relaxation. Within the wooden cladding is a stylish open-plan living space with vaulted timber ceilings and soothing neutral decor. Light the wood burner and curl up on the sofas, tickling the hound’s ears as you admire the views through the patio doors. You’ll have everything you need to whip up special breakfasts in the kitchen area, best enjoyed at the table or al fresco on your private decked patio. A cheerful bedroom greets weary travellers with comfortable bedding and plenty of space for your dog’s basket, and the neighbouring shower room is a treat after a long day of adventuring. There is off-road parking for one car, and washing/drying facilities are available on-site in a shared utility area. Beware of curious hounds that may be tempted by the unfenced ponds!

Sandown is a bustling resort town known for its array of shops, eateries and amusements, and dogs are welcome on the beach out of season. A short 7-mile drive will bring you to the traditional seaside town of Ventnor with its sloping streets and pretty shops, or travel 2.5-miles inland to visit the delightful Garlic Farm. Of course, no trip would be complete without visiting the famous Needles and lighthouse, which are well worth the 22-mile drive across the island.

This was such a great find. Superb location and wonderful accommodation. Lovely public footpaths around the area, lots of Red Squirrels and other wildlife around. Very comfortable accommodation either to use as a base or just chill outside surrounded by nature. Waking up birdsong and a lovey view was never tiresome. Beautiful log cabin, beautiful surroundings, immaculate and surrounded by lovely walks. Its a bit out of the way down some very narrow lanes, made even narrower by the fact the hedges etc are very overgrown and unkempt (council responsibility!). You will need a car, and the brambles might scratch it! But a lovely peaceful location.

Amazing place , so peaceful and idyllic. The fishing is good and the wildlife is beautiful to see even down to the ducks that left an egg for us one morning. The lodge is well equipped , only downside is the fridge is a little on the small side. The bed is comfortable and the reclining sofa/chair is an extra bonus. We stayed at Hobbits landing between 15/04/23 and 22/04/23. We were warmly greeted by Chris and then by 3 ducks. We didnt unpack for a couple hours as we just sat on the deck soaking in the peace and quiet. If you want peace and quiet surrounded by beautiful scenery then Id recommend looking into stopping here.
