This luxurious couple’s getaway has been carefully designed to blend traditional features with modern amenities. It’s located just outside the vibrant town of Llangollen, a great base for getting active in the great outdoors.
Relax and recharge in this converted 17th century dairy and grain store which has underfloor heating for year-round enjoyment. A long drive with glorious views leads you to the front door and, once inside, you can pop your dog’s bed on the floor in the boot room. Step in to the welcoming lounge/diner, with its exposed beams and wood-burner-effect electric fire, a wonderful space in which to enjoy a delicious supper and then snuggle up on the sofas, read, chat or watch the satellite TV. The galley kitchen is designed for efficient cooking, and contains everything you’ll need to create holiday meals. Stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor, where you’ll find the king-size bedroom with a TV and en-suite shower room. The enclosed front garden boasts a hot tub where you can soak away sore muscles after long hikes, plus a decked area with a BBQ and outdoor furniture for those warm evenings when you can’t resist a tasty treat in the fresh air. You can walk down to the river to fish, or through the owners' garden to the nearby golf course.
Llangollen, in a picturesque setting on the River Dee, boasts a variety of independent shops and places to eat, as well as an aqueduct, a canal - great for a stroll - and a heritage railway that takes you to the small market town of Corwen. Put on your hiking boots and challenge yourselves to a climb to the ruins of 13th century Castell Dinas Bran, overlooking the town - the reward is the most spectacular view.
