Dog-friendly accommodation in Saunton and near Saunton Sands

Situated on some of Devon’s most spectacular coastline, Saunton couldn’t be better placed. Only 2 miles from Croyde and 7 miles from Woolacombe to the north, and just across the estuary from Instow and Westward Ho!, you and your canines won’t be stuck for some fabulous beach walking on your doggy holiday. The sand on these beaches makes easy work for paws at low tide, with paddling in the shallows a favourite activity amongst both local and holidaying hounds. Saunton Sands itself is one of the finest beaches in North Devon, and offers three and a half miles of golden sand backed by dunes, dog-friendly all year round. Interestingly, the village borders Braunton Burrows, the first new-style UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve.

When it’s time to stop for a bite to eat and a well-deserved rest, head to one of the traditional pubs in the area, most of whom welcome well-behaved canines - our dog-friendly guide to Devon offers some great ideas for where to go. Have a nose through our selection of dog-friendly accommodation in Saunton and surrounding areas for your next Devon seaside escape.
