Soak up the serenity and sea air with your paw-some pal when you relax on the terrace at this gorgeous Saunton Sands retreat. Capturing picturesque views towards the sea, the four-bedroom Devon holiday home, which has a hot tub, makes a perfect choice for a group of friends or relatives eager to bring a canine companion.

Rub down sandy paws then follow your four-legged friend into the reception hall at this airy, modern property to hang his dog lead and shuffle off your beach sandals or walking boots. Call him through to the lounge with you, then settle down to take in the views or watch the Smart TV, while he stretches out, perhaps in front of the wood burner on autumn or winter days. Open the doors in here on to the terrace during warmer weather. There is also a snug, with another TV, where you can take him to escape into tranquillity on occasion. The spacious kitchen/diner, which also has doors on to the terrace, has ample space for preparing meals and for hounds and humans to dine. There is also a useful utility area and a family shower room downstairs. Bid your sleepy chum goodnight then head upstairs to the king-size, double or single bedroom. There is also a super-king-size that can be arranged as a twin instead if discussed at booking. Enjoy the fabulous outdoor living opportunities afforded by the property, where you can bubble in the hot tub or cook supper on the BBQ with your contented canine close by.

This magnificent, 3-mile stretch of golden beach at Saunton Sands welcomes four-pawed sea-lovers with open paws at any time of year. Putsborough Beach, 2 miles away, is another superb coastal location where your happy hound can bound across the sand and splash in the shallows.

Superb location/views, although access from drive onto main road is very difficult, even with the mirrors both ways. Comfy beds and sofas, good kitchen and playroom/snug room, with lots of toys and books, appreciated by our toddlers. Large garden appreciated by our dog who enjoyed hunting rabbits! Pyramidal orchids a pleasing spot.

Its a lovely house for a family and has a great outhouse for dogs straight into the garden although not enclosed and they can get down the drive onto road . Bathrooms arent the best . Main bathroom is brilliant but no separate shower only large bath . The upstairs shower room is tiny and if over 6ft difficult to access . Downstairs shower roomRead more off the kitchen is great if you are using the hot tub but not great for every day use as a long way from bedrooms . A overgrown track down to the beach (opposite end of drive) made dog walking and getting on to beach without taking the car easy . The drive and access we managed as we all had SUVs but if you havent would be difficult. We had a brilliant week at wayside as the weather was fantastic. The views are beautiful and its a really spacious house. The 2nd lounge we used as a play room which was perfect . Hot tub was a great If you get good weather the position is perfect . Terrific house with wonderful views overlooking the golf course to the sea beyond. Very comfortable and spacious, 3 very large bedrooms all with sea views and a smaller single bedroom. Presented very well.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage, the location was fantastic, very private, and just a short walk to the fabulous Saunton beach. Well equipped kitchen; enough seating for everyone to be together in living area. We had everything we needed for the week we stayed. We managed, but another usable shower would have been useful. Great place, secluded location and very peaceful. Easy walk to the beach. A nice house that is definitely worth visiting especially if you get the great weather we had.

A spacious property with a fantastic location and views, bedrooms and lounges beautiful condition, kitchen good but could do with a comfort upgrade. Heed the advice about only turning left into the driveway. Easily room for three couples. Happily recommend and we hope to return soon.

Great location and lovely property. There were 6 adults and a golden retriever and we didnt get under each others feet. Had a minor problem when we got there that was sorted out double quick! Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Great property with stunning views and great location. Very comfortable and spacious but the bathrooms let this property down with only really one very tiny shower with inadequate water flow to accommodate six people. The downstairs shower is only really for use when getting out of the hot tub as it is just off the kitchen.

A beautiful property in a great location. Unfortunately we had a few issues with various things broken or not working around the house. We tried to ignore these and really enjoyed the view and lovely house.

This is a lovely location and a short walk to the gorgeous Saunton Sands Beach. There are stunning views from the cottage. The cottage is comfortable, however I would not recommend more than 4 adults staying due to the shower situation and set up. The driveway needs work and a better system of how to exit, as you definitely need two people Read morein the car, to see when it is safe to drive away. Hide

Wayside is a beautiful spacious holiday home with fantastic views and a lovely homely feel ,close to the beach. Very comfortable beds and quality linen. Kitchen was well equipped and outside furniture was comfortable, although the BBQ probably could be replaced. The hot tub was a bonus and was clean and well maintained.
