Sit out in the sunshine at this bijou Devon hideaway and watch your happy hound bound about the large lawn in delight. This exquisite, one-bedroom cottage near Georgeham sleeps two guests, as well as their canine companion. In an exceptional position for countryside and coastal walks, as well as days on the beach, it is an enchanting, romantic retreat and the perfect place for four-legged friends who enjoy getting out and about.

Open the door to the stone retreat to find a warm welcome for hounds and humans alike. Head into the light kitchen/diner to put the kettle on, serve dinner to your chum and prepare a meal for two on those occasions you choose to dine in. Open the stable door onto the garden in here on warm days so your pal can pad outside. On chilly evenings take him through to the lounge. A few steps up from the kitchen, this has a wood burner to toast beside and soft seating to recline on as you watch TV. There is also a sofa bed in here if required. As night falls, bid your canine chum goodnight and head up to the first floor of the cottage, where the double bedroom and its en-suite shower room are situated. Let your delighted dog race about the garden on summer days as you sit down to breakfast and coffee at the table out here. The cottage has private parking.

Pack a beach bag and some dog toys and venture 3.5 miles to Saunton Sands. This 3-mile stretch of golden beach welcomes pups with open paws and is a great place for long walks, as well as splashing in the shallows. Putsborough Beach, 2 miles away, is another magnificent coastal location where your pal can leave his paw prints in the sand.

A beautiful cottage with a lovely enclosed garden. It was great to be able to let our dog chill safely after some lovely walks in the surrounding area. The local roads and entrance are a little tight but this just adds to the Devon charm. Some lovely local places to eat too. Lovely presented cottage. Compact but everything you needed. Garden is beautiful and good size for our Collie with pretty views. There was building work on site that would have been helpful to know beforehand. Builder's were lovely but had to move their vehicles and equipment every time we needed to go out

We had a lovely stay at Hop House, our second visit here this year! The cottage is well equipped with a lovely secluded garden ideal for keeping dogs safe if you have one. There are 2 lovely pubs nearby and beaches are only a short car ride away. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this lovely little cottage.

The Hop House is perfect. The cottage is small but well laid out and equipped and the enclosed garden was great for our dog. It was just a shame about the weather, which for the first full week in September was awful.

Very well located property in excellent decorative order and with all necessary equipment for us. The Garden is properly enclosed so good for dogs. Many local walks, and a reasonable walk to Georgeham for a village shop and two pubs (the Rock was slightly the better for us but both very good) Recommended
