Get back to nature with a romantic glamping holiday in your very own characterful yurt, offering the best of camping with regular holiday accommodation. Bring your significant other (two-legged AND four-legged) and enjoy a lakeside stay surrounded by woods, just 2 miles from the quaint market town of Holt in North Norfolk. Explore this region’s countryside or hop around the wonderful coastline, enjoying holiday feasts of mussels from Brancaster and Cromer crabs.
Open the canvas yurt’s double glass doors and enter a wonderfully comfortable and bohemian space. The circular tent is off-grid, but it does have lights and all you need for a really magical stay. There’s a wooden double bed, table and chairs and other furnishings, a solid floor and a wood burner, which any dog will love snuggling up by. Traditional-style textiles and a few quirky additional touches give this a really homely feel. Outside, relax on the covered veranda, or the dining furniture to the front of the yurt with a BBQ and open fire. The covered veranda continues around the side, housing a semi-enclosed kitchen area and a private shower room and WC.
The site itself offers woods and lakeside walks, so early morning and late night strolls with your furry friend couldn’t be easier. Slow down to hear the sounds of nature and the great outdoors. Holt (2 miles) is packed with Georgian splendour and independent boutique shopping, eateries, antiques and galleries. From here, why not let the train take the strain and be transported to the coast via the steam era on the North Norfolk Railway (aka The Poppy Line), admiring the countryside en route to the popular resort of Sheringham. Head 7 miles to the NT-run Blakeney National Nature Reserve for a chance to spot seals at certain times of the year.
