Take your favourite four-legged friend with you when you decide to go off-grid on a truly special Norfolk glamping break. Sleeping two guests, this one-bedroom shepherd’s hut is set in beautiful, rural surroundings near Edgefield, 2.5 miles from Holt. Head out together on long country walks, make trips to dog-friendly beaches and let your pal run free across acres of parkland.
Arrive on site to find your enticing hut overlooks a lake and woodland. Watch your happy hound bound up the five wooden steps to enter his cosy new home. Discover a charming and cleverly designed interior, which is compact yet inviting. The accommodation centres on a lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom, where you can light the wood burner to warm chilly feet and paws. Prepare light meals on the gas hobs or cook out on the BBQ. Dine up at the fold-out breakfast bar, then rinse your cups, plates and bowls in the sink. There is space to dish up doggy dinners at floor level. An en-suite shower room, with a WC, is at one end of the hut, while your double bed is at the other. Hop in here for a great night’s sleep while your chum finds his own cosy corner on the floor. Unwind out in the hammock or a deckchair with a good book, while he noses about close by. Take in the scenery at this unique spot where the lack of electricity and wifi mean you can really get away from it all. Guests have parking for one car.
Walk or drive 1 mile to let your delighted dog enjoy the green open space of Holt Country Park. Plan a trip to the National Trust’s Felbrigg Hall, 10.5 miles away, where he can also race across beautiful parkland. The pup-friendly beach at Salthouse is just 6 miles away.
