Escape the stresses of everyday life in this luxurious bolthole in the Scottish Highlands. There are some fabulous walking trails to explore in the area, from dramatic coastal walks at Shandwick Bay (13 miles) to tranquil waterside strolls at Loch Migdale (21.5 miles).
The inviting cabin has a gorgeous arched ceiling and is decorated in a contemporary style. The main living space is open plan, combining a sleek kitchenette with a breakfast bar and a corner sofa set in front of a Smart TV. On a balmy summer’s evening, open the French doors to the terrace to let the pups potter in and out. The double bedroom is to the rear of the lodge and is a calm, relaxing spot with a muted colour scheme and plush linens for a good night’s sleep. A separate shower room completes the accommodation. Outside, Rover and Fido can chill out in the enclosed patio garden whilst you share an al fresco supper or take a soak in your private hot tub. Guests also have access to a BBQ hut. Private parking is available for one car.
The bustling town of Alness is 3.5 miles away and has a good range of independent shops and eateries. The town is also the starting point for several popular walks, including to Fyrish Monument and along the River Averon. For a day at the coast, journey to the historic town of Dornoch (20.5 miles), which boasts a wide, sandy beach that welcomes four-pawed visitors all year. You’ll also be within easy reach of the NC500 driving route.
