The town is the starting point for several popular walks, including along the River Averon and to the summit of Fyrish Monument. For a day at the seaside, journey to the coastal town of Dornoch (20.5 miles). Here, you’ll find a wide, sandy beach that welcomes woofers all year, and some fabulous coastal walks with dramatic views and excellent wildlife watching opportunities.
