Tucked away on a 100-acre working farm, this cottage is the perfect place for a couples’ trip, where the dog is also invited. You’ll be surrounded by incredible wildlife, including otters and buzzards, and plenty of outdoorsy activities to get everyone up and doing new things, with your canine companion taking the lead. When you’re finished, head back to your comfortable and well-provisioned accommodation for fun and relaxing evenings.
This rustic farm cottage has all the charm you’d expect, with beautiful stone walls and exposed beams matched with deep wood and leather. It feels very timeless and is a great place to get away from the rush of modern life. There’s a garden with furniture for outdoorsy meals, a round bath for resting tired muscles after a long walk and a cosy area where you and your party can have a game night or simply relax. You’ll find two double rooms upstairs for a deep sleep before your dog reminds you it’s time to get going again.
Crai is an amazing area for walking, fishing and mountain biking, all of which you can do without getting in the car. If you’d like to go further, though, check out Cantref Adventure Farm, which is 15 miles away and has horse riding, seasonal events and Europe’s longest sledge ride. Dogs are welcome, but they’ll need to stay on their leads. Likewise, you should definitely look at visiting the showcaves, which are very impressive and also welcome dogs on leads.
