Take your significant other and dogs for a romantic retreat in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. This stone bungalow is a wonderfully peaceful spot where you can reconnect with your partner and return to nature, accompanied by your canine companions.
As you enter the property, you’ll find a hallway with a kitchen/diner off to one side. It’s the perfect size for two people, and you can take turns cooking each other’s favourite meals to enjoy over a bottle of wine. There’s the lounge next door, brightened by pops of colour and completed by a sofa, so you can spend your evenings curled up with a book or watching a film whilst your dogs sleep. When you are ready for bed, there’s a flexible room which can either be made up as a super-king-size or a twin room, depending on your requirements. Note the exposed beam and wooden finishes which lend timeless charm. Finally, there’s the family bathroom with a large, walk-in shower and a deep bath for a long soak. This property comes with an outdoor area which combines a driveway, lawn and seating. It’s unenclosed, so don’t let the dogs out unsupervised.
This bungalow is nestled in the heart of Cumbria in a peaceful and remote area. You can head to Keswick (5.5 miles) for supplies or delicious meals in dog-friendly pubs. There are plenty of nearby walks and hikes to try, and you can climb Scafell Pike (18.5 miles) if you fancy a challenge. Alternatively, learn history and folklore with a trip to Castlerigg Stone Circle (7 miles) or go for a bracing swim with the dogs on Allonby Beach (16 miles).
