Cosy property on a working farm with lovely rural views near Ironbridge in Shropshire. Families can enjoy footpaths, cycle routes, the River Severn and many activities and attractions all within 10 miles.
Treat yourselves to a stay in this gorgeous country abode and make sure Rover enjoys all the fun as well. Nestled in magnificent surroundings, on a working farm in Shropshire, approximately 1 mile from Little Wenlock, the characterful cottage was once a grain store. Today, sleeping four guests and one delighted dog, the two-bedroom retreat is ideal for a small, dog-loving family eager to escape the hustle and bustle for a while. Take Rover to stretch his legs on the farm as much as he likes or head off on one of the many footpaths across the fields.
Step inside and immediately find a warm welcome for people and pets alike. Leave shoes, jackets and dog leads in the hall then amble through into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with its revealed timber and brickwork, to stoke up the wood burner. Let your furry friend doze for a while in its heat, while you wash any damp towels after wet walks in the washing machine and prepare tasty meals for everyone in the kitchen area. Dine at the table before settling down to your favourite programme on TV then take your happy hound out for a last wander before bed. Make your way up to the first floor to lay your head in either the twin bedroom or the double. Wake up to enjoy a refreshing shower before having breakfast outside on warm mornings. There’s also parking for one car and storage for bikes and other outdoor gear at the property.
Pack a picnic, pop some dog treats in your pocket and set out across the Shropshire Hills for the morning. Enjoy walks along beside the beautiful River Severn, about 1.5 miles from your base. Take Rover with you to explore the ruins of Buildwas Abbey, a former Cistercian monastery, 2 miles away.
