Let yourselves into this bijou, red-brick cottage to find single-storey accommodation, which is perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway with a waggy-tailed pal in tow. Leave outerwear and dog leads in the hall then follow your happy hound into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This inviting space, with its vaulted and beamed ceiling, is the ideal place for your contented canine to rest his weary paws, while you watch TV and dine together. Call your hungry hound over to the kitchen area to dish up his dinner and prepare something tasty for you both over here too. Settle your chum in here for the night, while you head off for a shower before wandering through to the pretty double bedroom to lay your own head on your pillow. Open the door to the garden in the bedroom in summer mornings and enjoy your coffee outside. Light the BBQ outside in the evening too, while your chum keeps you company.

Stride out from the cottage to explore your magnificent surroundings. Climb the Wrekin, about 1.5 miles from your base. Plan a day trip out to the National Trust’s Benthall Hall, 7 miles away, where you can enjoy long walks through the leafy woodland and parkland with your pup. You can also explore the outdoor areas of Wroxeter Roman City, 5.5 miles away, with your chum by your side.
