The Farmers Arms is a fabulous dog-friendly pub that sits in the heart of quaint Muker, which offers a starting point for the wonderful Muker to Keld walking route. This trail takes you through the enchanting Swaledale Valley and is the perfect way to work up an appetite with your four-pawed pal by your side. They have a selection of quality pub grub with a twist – check out their fantastic menu – and this Yorkshire Dales pub even has its own microbrewery so you can enjoy a crisp, cool beer that was brewed on site.

The George and Dragon, Dent

A wonderful stone pub set on the cobbled streets of Dent, just outside of Sedbergh town, the George and Dragon is full of country atmosphere, providing a warm welcome for humans and our waggy-tailed chums alike. The fantastic Dent Viaduct is nearby too - why not plan a walk out along the Blea Moor and Dent Head Trail with your pup to see it? At the pub, pick a dish from their menu full of local Yorkshire produce, with mouth-watering steak, pie or curry to choose from. Finish up with their delectable cheeseboard complete with the not-to-be-missed slice of Wensleydale.

The Lister Arms, Malham Cove

This dog-friendly Yorkshire Dales pub even has biscuit treats on hand for your four-legged friends, but what will really impress your canine is the selection of excellent dog walks all around – with beauty spots like Malham Cove, Gordale Scar, Janet’s Foss and Malham Tarn on the doorstep. Back at the Lister Arms itself, you can choose from light sharing platters to hearty dinners. A grilled sirloin steak, Thwaites beer-battered fish and chips, or plant-based wild mushroom risotto are just a taste of what they offer.

A charming old coaching inn originally built in the 16th century, the Red Lion is a beautiful building, built of honey-coloured stone and sat on the banks of the River Wharfe. The Dales Way passes close by and follows the path of the river for a leg stretch before settling down to dine at this pub, with your family pet snoozing under the table. Choose something hearty from the grill, chow down on a burger or pick out one of their pub classics – their Red Lion fish pie is a favourite among patrons!

The Falcon is a charming dog-friendly Yorkshire Dales pub with a magnificent façade and plenty of warmth and charm inside. The walls are lined with characterful memorabilia with old beams overhead. Calling itself ‘The Permanent Beer Festival of Appletreewick’, this unique Yorkshire Dales inn sits in charming Appletreewick village near Skipton and has a fantastic selection of real ales – usually around 16 at the ready. Pop by with your four-pawed pal if you’re keen for a quality drink with a view. The New Inn also boasts a tasty selection of meals that uses organic produce, some of which is grown on their own land. Finally, if you want to pick up goodies for later, this pet-friendly pub even hosts a village shop on site.

The quaint 17th-century Queens Arms is set amongst stunning scenery in a serene location where you can wine and dine with your pup in peace. They serve a delightful selection of ales, offer a lovely wine list, and when it comes to food, their dishes are hearty and delicious. These include handmade pies and puddings, and the staff serve up a wonderful Sunday roast too.

An elegant Grade II-listed pub with a fascinating history, the King’s Arms was once owned by horse trainer John Pratt and today has wonderful photos and memorabilia throughout to create a charming ambience. They have a wonderful range of gins sourced from the Yorkshire Dales, and a quality wine list as well. Foodie options at this dog-friendly pub include rosti, carbonara, pork loin, or a venison dish with both classic hand-cut chips or onions rings as delicious side options.
