A lovely barn conversion and part of small private complex, this property has some fabulous shared facilities indoors and out. For the dogs amongst you the news is all good. There’s an enclosed garden to explore and, in the wag of a tail you can be down by the river at the pub, ready for a bowl of water while your owner sups on a pint of the local ale. Immersed in the heart of Golant village with its restful pace of life and just 2.5 miles from beaches where you can catch some waves, the location is spot on. This place is perfect for sharing, both with the family or a few friends and, of course, the dogs.
A converted reverse level, threshing barn, you enter straight into the beautiful open-plan family space, the hub of the home. A place to gather and bark about the day’s activities, a comfortable lounge to curl up in and a kitchen in which to create a masterpiece. But no drooling just yet - head downstairs (yes, down) to the bedrooms, all worth fighting over but no one loses as they are all great spaces to rest your head. Outside is a hot tub ready to soothe tired muscles. With a glass of bubbles and man’s best friend beside you, life doesn’t get much better! Due to the current situation the games room and outdoor children's play area will not be available. The swimming pool and sauna will be available on a bookable time slot basis. The outdoor table tennis and badminton court will be available for guests' use with sanitising facilities nearby.
From Fowey, which is a doggie haven, there is a regular ferry service across the river to Polruan, or are you Poldark fans? Visit Charlestown where the series was filmed, a little less than 7 miles away. If your dogs have good sea legs, there are boat trips on the river from Golant or, take the riverside walk from the village past the Fisherman’s Arms (great food), but do check the tide times or you could get rather wet!
All facilities now available with sanitising facilities. Occasional live entertainment with free entry for guests, and Bar Silo on site open eery Friday March to October.
