Part of small private complex, this barn conversion has fabulous shared leisure facilities indoors and out including a small endless pool. There’s a fully enclosed garden for your wet nosed pack and, in the wag of a tail you can be down at the pub on the river! Immersed in the heart of Golant village with its bustling but restful pace of life and just 2.5 miles from beaches where you can all run free, the location is worth barking about. Perfect for sharing, either with the family or a couple of friends and, of course, your dogs.
If bright, white and contemporary is your thing you will love this vibrant barn. The bedrooms are downstairs, turning everything on its head, combining quirkiness and character with comfort and style. The dining table is at the centre of the action, the perfect place to hold a seafood feast (from local sources) whilst planning the next day’s adventure. This stone barn conversion, with exposed beams and reclaimed wooden floors, has ample space for four and a bit extra for 3 wagging tails!
For the more sociable families there is a bar on-site cleverly created from an old Silo, with outdoor seating. Open once or twice in some weeks, for drinks and food, with occasional live entertainment to which guests will be welcomed with free entry. There is off-road parking for two cars. All facilities will be available with sanitising facilities .
There are boat trips on the river from Golant and riverside walks from the village. Meander along the footpath in front of the Fisherman’s Arms (great food), perfect for a stroll with the hounds, but do check the tide times or you could get rather wet! Fowey is a dog-friendly town and has a regular ferry service across to Polruan for exploring. Also there’s the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Ship Wreck Centre for a day out further afield. Well, it can’t all be about the dogs!
