This delightful first-floor apartment is ideally situated in a beautiful scenic location, making it an ideal base for to relax and explore or for more action packed adventure.

Set in beautiful grounds, this charming self-contained apartment is one of three properties in a beautiful 19th-century house and makes an idyllic getaway for a couple with up to two dogs looking for a tranquil holiday base near the breathtaking western coast of Scotland. The property is within easy reach of both Oban (24.5 miles) and Fort William (19.5 miles) and is ideal for enjoying fantastic walks with stunning scenery, or for activities including mountain biking, sailing and fishing. You can also enjoy a trip on a steam train or boat trips out to islands including Mull and Jura.

Accessed via a flight of external wooden stairs, this delightful first-floor apartment features a light and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with glorious views, and offers a lovely space to relax in. There’s plenty of comfortable seating in the tastefully decorated lounge, making this a great place to sit back and enjoy a movie or a book. The attractive dining area is perfect for enjoying a meal and chatting about the next day’s plans. There’s a charming landing on the external stairs with a small decked area allowing you to sit and admire the stunning views across the garden and extensive grounds, which are shared with the other properties and are perfect for dogs to explore. Please note, the property does have some sloping ceilings.

There are fantastic walks to be enjoyed both by dogs and their owners, with Loch Linnhe close by, or you could head to beautiful destinations including the Glencoe National Nature Reserve (1.5 miles), or take a tour of Castle Stalker (6.5 miles). Dogs are welcome to help you explore many sites including Dunstaffnage Castle and McCaig’s Tower, both in Oban. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants to relax in along the way, many of which are dog-friendly.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The villages of Duror and Kentallen are located just off the Argyll Coastal Route from Balluchulish in the north and Oban in the south. This property is located close to the shores of the breathtaking Loch Linnhe, where you can take part in a number of activities, such as kayaking, fishing and sailing. It is also popular with photographers because of its varied wildlife, such as seals, porpoises and golden eagles, and magnificent scenery and sunsets.

Keen cyclists will enjoy the Kentallen to Ballachulish cycle path which is part of the National Cycle Network. Or for those looking for something more leisurely, the pebble beach of Cuil Bay is only a short stroll away (1.2 miles) and the views of the mountains are spectacular. If you fancy seeing more of the sea loch, you could even take a cruise and enjoy the commentary. For a touch of history and beauty, either view or visit Castle Stalker (6.5 miles), a 15th Century keep standing proud on its tidal islet in Loch Linnhe (visits are limited and should be pre-booked).

If you fall in love with gorgeous Glencoe, head to the Highlands Titles Nature Reserve (1.5 miles) and bag yourself a small piece of land as a souvenir allowing you to become a Laird, Lord or Lady of Glencoe as well as helping to preserve this special place which is home to lots of wildlife from deer to pine martens.

The cottage was set in beautiful grounds .Take plenty of food shops are a fair distance away.The views in the surrounding areas are breathtaking well worth the visit .The cottage is cosy well maintained and everything you need was provided for just be careful of the sloping ceilings in the appin apartment.

Comfortable, compact apartment in great location. Not for very tall people as its in the roof so low sloping ceilings in the bedroom and bathroom. High spec finish and lovely gardens. WiFi didnt work the week we were there unfortunately.

We had very pleasant stay, the attic flat I would not take that again as the ceilings are so low I lost the count of how many times I bumped my head. Also had to kneel down to shower. Would not recommend to anyone near 6ft
