Get some fresh sea air from the top of Yarmouth Castle (18.5 miles), which was the last fort built during Henry VIII’s reign, or let Fido peer out across the island from the ramparts of Carisbrooke Castle (10 miles) which is a former fortress from the Elizabethan era. Ryde Beach (6 miles) has golden sands that are perfect for paws that love to dig. Brave pups will love a ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway (8 miles) as you puff through the countryside.
