Property code: OC-P00554

Located on a farm surrounded by the beautiful Cornish countryside, this welcoming barn conversion offers the best of both coast and country living for a couple or solo traveller alongside their canine companion. Have a ball on the region’s spectacular beaches, take the lead to adventure along the South West Coast Path and track down some wonderful local produce in the region’s pretty towns and villages.

Step inside this comfortable home and enjoy spacious open-plan living in a relaxing, peaceful setting. Outside, the suntrap courtyard garden is perfect for your morning coffee or evening sundowner whilst Fido safely explores this enclosed space. With a well-equipped kitchen, a shower room and a light and airy bedroom with a king-sized bed, everything you need for a magical stay in Cornwall is right here.

The nearby village of St Merryn (2 miles) offers a wide range of restaurants, pubs and shops, and a visit to the bakery is a must, where you and Rover can sniff out a traditional Cornish pasty. If you''re looking for a classic Cornish beach destination, Constantine Bay (3 miles) is hard to beat. With a wide, sweeping stretch of golden sand, it is one of those places that people and pets return to year after year, with no seasonal restrictions for your four-legged friend. The pretty fishing village of Padstow is 5 miles away. Famed for its seafood, fresh catch is landed daily at the town’s traditional working harbour. Sample some of Padstow’s fantastic restaurants or grab a bag of fish and chips and dine alfresco, watching the fishing boats come and go with Rover by your side. To burn off all those extra calories, stroll a section of the South West Coast Path or hire a bike and take your hound for a run along the beautiful Camel Trail that follows the course of the River Camel to Wadebridge and beyond.

A verry well kept comfortable cottage perfect for our weeks stay , it has everything you could need a real home from home , nicely situated in a lovely quiet hamlet and not far from the coastline with all its sandy bays and cliff top walks . We are hoping to return one day and do it all again .

Our third visit. Though the weather wasn't brilliant it didn't prevent us from getting to see so many beautiful and interesting locations courtesy of The National Trust. The cottage, as ever, was home from home, and it was lovely to see Paul, Caroline and Ronnie again. We will very soon be booking again for next year.

Had a fantastic 2 week stay for our honeymoon. The cottage was lovely and clean with everything you could need. The bed was so comfortable. Location wise this was perfect for exploring Cornwall and was only 3 miles from Padstow. We will definitely be back

The cottage was, as advertised, all on one level, but there were several sets of steps to negotiate which, when taken together, make the place unsuitable for those with restricted mobilitty,. The place itself was (except see above) quite nice and well-situated.

We had a wonderful stay at Wren Cottage with our dog. The cottage was warm and cosy with a comfy bed and a powerful shower. There was plenty of space for the three of us, and the location was fantastic just a stones throw from some stunning beaches. My partner accidentally left his wireless charger behind and the hosts kindly posted it back to us Read morestraight away, even covering the postage despite us offering. Thanks for a great week! A wonderful well equipped cottage for 2 + dog. Well equipped as good as any self catering we have experienced. Nice rural location but close enough for the wonderful beaches and towns such as Padstow. The owners are very nice right adjacent to the cottage. This will become a repeat destination for us.

Had a wonderful sunny week in a lovely, very comfortable cottage with all amenities, very quiet location but within a short drive to what we consider some of the best beaches in Cornwall. Also within a reasonable drive to any Cornish landmark - St. Michael's Mount, the Lizard, Tintagel etc. etc. and, for us, National Trust properties.
