Set amid the Cornish countryside near Padstow and St Merryn, this traditional stone cottage offers easy access to the region’s sandy bays and cliff-top walks. Six humans and two dogs have the run of this charming cottage, which boasts spacious yet cosy living areas and an enclosed, lawned garden.

Beautifully renovated with a relaxed, rural elegance, this single-storey property exudes character and charm with beamed ceilings and feature stone walls. After exhilarating days scampering on sands, the lounge/diner invites cosy evenings at home, sharing laughter and food on the twin sofas or gathered around the dining table. Accessed through an open archway, the modern fitted kitchen has all the essentials to make mealtimes a breeze while your pup watches on in anticipation. Adorned in fresh, coastal hues, the three bedrooms invite a restful night’s sleep. Choose between two king-size bedrooms, one with a TV and DVD and both with Emma mattresses, and a twin room. A family bathroom completes the interior. Outside, there’s a sunny, enclosed garden with outdoor furniture, perfect for al fresco meals and drinks and games of fetch.

You’ll be spoilt for choice for morning walkies, from cliff-top trails to St Merryn’s famed seven beaches. Constantine Bay and Treyarnon Bay are your closest (both within 3 miles) and both are dog-friendly year-round and great for surfers, too. There’s a handful of shops and eateries in St Merryn village, with more choice at nearby Padstow (3.5 miles). In addition to another array of beaches, Padstow hosts a number of dog-friendly eateries while man’s best friend is welcomed in attractions including the National Lobster Hatchery and Padstow Sealife Safaris.

Fantastic cottage, with everything you may need. We had an amazing holiday with our 11 year olds. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Thank you.

The bedding, kitchens and the bathrooms were clean, but unfortunately there were cobwebs in the corners of the ceilings and skirtings. The arms of the beige sofas were dirty. On the first day I had to contact the owner as when showering the water wasnt running away and we were up to our ankles in water. This was rectified immediately.

Spacious enough for 6 people .No outlook so cottage is dark. Enclosed garden area good for dog . Whole property although comfortable, tired and in need of tlc. If you want to cook bring your own decent knife. Lane to property is very narrow with few passing places but we only encountered 5 vehicles. Close to St Merryn .

Very spacious rooms with well equipped kitchen and lounge TV. Shower excellent and bed comfortable. Location is via a very narrow farm track that has no lights so need to go carefully. Front garden space ideal for outside dining when the weather is nice.

This cottage is ideally positioned for easy access to the 7 bays, Treyarnon being our favourite and just a 10 minute drive. It is very comfortable and much larger than expected. Well equipped with an excellent shower! Small but very sunny garden. No pubs or shops within walking distance but that suited us as we love the peace and quiet.
