Set amid the Cornish countryside near Padstow and St Merryn, this traditional stone cottage offers easy access to the region’s sandy bays and cliff-top walks. Six humans and two dogs have the run of this charming cottage, which boasts spacious yet cosy living areas and an enclosed, lawned garden.
Beautifully renovated with a relaxed, rural elegance, this single-storey property exudes character and charm with beamed ceilings and feature stone walls. After exhilarating days scampering on sands, the lounge/diner invites cosy evenings at home, sharing laughter and food on the twin sofas or gathered around the dining table. Accessed through an open archway, the modern fitted kitchen has all the essentials to make mealtimes a breeze while your pup watches on in anticipation. Adorned in fresh, coastal hues, the three bedrooms invite a restful night’s sleep. Choose between two king-size bedrooms, one with a TV and DVD and both with Emma mattresses, and a twin room. A family bathroom completes the interior. Outside, there’s a sunny, enclosed garden with outdoor furniture, perfect for al fresco meals and drinks and games of fetch.
You’ll be spoilt for choice for morning walkies, from cliff-top trails to St Merryn’s famed seven beaches. Constantine Bay and Treyarnon Bay are your closest (both within 3 miles) and both are dog-friendly year-round and great for surfers, too. There’s a handful of shops and eateries in St Merryn village, with more choice at nearby Padstow (3.5 miles). In addition to another array of beaches, Padstow hosts a number of dog-friendly eateries while man’s best friend is welcomed in attractions including the National Lobster Hatchery and Padstow Sealife Safaris.
