Take your dogs, friends and family for a stay at these pretty cottages in the quiet hamlet of Lobb, 4 miles from popular Croyde. The accommodation consists of two adjoining cottages – both renovated barns – with space for up to 10 guests. You’ll be surrounded by countryside and walking routes you can discover with your pets and have easy access to some of North Devon’s best dog-friendly beaches including the lovely Saunton Beach (2 miles). This huge stretch of sand is ideal for long coastal walks and energetic games of fetch. Not forgetting the wonderful Croyde, which has a great selection of pubs and cafés as well as a vibrant surf scene.
Both cottages are warm and sociable and allow larger groups and pets plenty of room to spread out. Each has its own living area, dining space, kitchen and bathroom. Across the two properties, there are four bedrooms arranged over two floors. The first includes a ground-floor triple bedroom with two single beds and a day bed, plus a first-floor double. The second has a first-floor double bedroom, along with a ground-floor bedroom featuring twin beds and a day bed that can be made into a double on request. Dogs and children will absolutely adore the large communal garden with countryside views and a play area – although they’ll need to stay on leads outside due to the grazing farmland nearby. The courtyard seating and BBQ area are ideal for relaxed evenings outdoors. You’ll also have access to a heated outdoor swimming pool (May to September) and private parking for four cars.
Nearby, join the South West Coast Path (2 miles) for doggie-pleasing clifftop walks with sea views – you can also follow the popular Tarka Trail to explore more of the coastline and countryside. Alongside Saunton, beaches at Putsborough (4 miles) and Woolacombe (5.5 miles) provide even more opportunities for sandy strolls and seaside days out (some dog restrictions apply).
