This stylish holiday home is set in the rural hamlet of Lobb, 4 miles from Croyde. Sleeping five guests across two bedrooms, the pet-friendly retreat is perfect for families looking to explore the rugged North Devon coastline. As expected, the surrounding area is a paradise for dog walkers, with numerous way-marked trails to explore, such as the South West Coast Path and the traffic-free Tarka Trail.
The converted barn is decorated in a contemporary style, with sleek furniture and muted tones. Leave sandy shoes and dog leads in the hallway before moving through to the kitchen/diner to rustle up a home-cooked feast to share at the dining table. Just off the kitchen/diner is a handy utility room. In the evenings, congregate in the spacious lounge to watch the Smart TV whilst Fido snoozes on the rug. Completing the ground floor is a family bedroom (two singles and a day bed) and a refreshing shower room. Upstairs, discover a tranquil double bedroom nestled in the eaves. Rounding off this level is the family bathroom. Outside, bask in the sunshine in the shared courtyard, where you’ll find furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining. Guests are welcome to explore the shared gardens, including the children’s play equipment and the grassy areas where the woofer can stretch their legs (please note, your furry friend needs to be on a lead whilst in the outdoor spaces). In the summer months, you’ll also have access to a heated outdoor swimming pool. Private parking is available for two cars.
Just 2 miles away is Saunton Sands, a magnificent sandy beach that welcomes canine visitors all year. Here, you and the hound can enjoy long walks along the shoreline, scamper around in the dunes, and share family picnics on sunny afternoons. The beach is also a hotspot for surfers, with lessons and equipment hire available. The charming village of Croyde is 4 miles away and has a great range of paw-friendly pubs and cafes, along with cute boutiques, gift shops, and outdoor markets to potter around.
