Lovely cottage nicely presented and in a lovely location by the river, next door to a great pub with decent food and with the heritage railway a stones throw away. We visited lots of places within 35 minutes drive and all were fantastic plus we found many lovely riverside pubs that were dog friendly,no complaints.

I can see it would be an attractive property for some but not for us. Rather noisy pub car park late at night, pub food very average and not appealing, couldnt find decent local restaurants or takeaways

This is a lovely cottage with a beautiful view of the river, and even though the pub car park is just in front of the property you don't notice it from inside.

4 adults and 3 dogs stayed at this accommodation for 7 days. The cottage is a lovely size, clean and was stocked with all the basics required for our stay. Great for fishermen or train enthusiasts, none of the photos or reviews mention the property is right on top of a pub car park. Though the pub was not a problem, in fact great food and staff, thRead moree constent slamming of car doors set off our dogs. If you are looking for a quiet retreat I would recommend another cottage in the same location Hide

The cottage was very clean and as only two of us we had plenty of space. The garden was secure for our dog. The location by the river was lovely. We were lucky enough to be there for the 40's D Day weekend celebrations. The food at the ship was great too.

Sofas were a little low as my elderly parents had trouble getting up from them and also mattresses were a little hard. Otherwise a fantastic place to stay and brilliant location. Would we recommend staying thereyes 100% and would love to return ourselves.
