On warm days, sit out on the rattan furniture on the decked area with afternoon tea or a sizzling BBQ feast, not forgetting a few doggy treats too!
With its lush green countryside and sandstone villages, the surrounding Eden Valley is well worth exploring with your faithful friend. Enjoy walks along the River Eden and take on the challenging Cross Fell route (13 miles) if you’ve got plenty of stamina. The historic market town of Penrith (7 miles) also lies in the valley. Here, pick up local produce from the farmers’ market to make something delicious for tea. For an adventure in the Lake District, head to Ullswater (16 miles) and take to the water on the famous steamboat; dogs are welcome aboard for a small charge.
