Up on the first floor, four-legged guests can warm themselves in front of the wood burner while you relax on the sofa and perhaps watch TV or a DVD. Prepare everyone something tasty to eat in the kitchen/diner up here, too. A single bedroom is tucked up on a mezzanine floor, looking down on to the lounge and across the property’s scenic surroundings. Shared gardens for taking your dogs out for a turn.
Follow the many dog-friendly walks through the ancient Forest of Dean, approximately 14 miles away, or join part of the Wye Valley Walk as it passes Ross-on-Wye, 4.5 miles away. Closer to home, you and your canine companions can amble 1 mile into the village of Goodrich to see its Norman castle or go further to Symonds Yat, 3 miles from your base, where you can take the path up to the viewing point and rest your paws for a while.
