Our stay at the Charlton Flanesford Priory was amazing! It was great for us and our dogs! Our young son loved that his bedroom was right at the top and ours was on the ground floor. There is a coffee shack on site several days in the week and the Hen and Dot cafe is absolutely lovely. We noticed lots of locals using it which is always a good sign. We went out everyday and no where was more than a 25 minute drive away so we were able to dip in and out of the accommodation especially on days when it was too hot to take the dogs out for the day. We visited Goodrich castle which is a 5-10 minute drive away and can be walked to. We kayaked in the river - launch points are nearby, dogs swam in the river too. We also visited Clearwell caves, King Arthurs cave, puzzle wood and Symonds Yat. All these places were easy to get to from Flanesford Priory. The staff were friendly and work very hard. A nice wholesome family run business. We will definitely be visiting again! Hide

Good value for money, well cared for in an amazing setting. Fantastic for serious walkers. Need to bear in mind that the cottages have had to set in an extremely old building and accept any limitations, such as stairs and windows, bit gloomy in places, but you cannot fault the history and character of the place. Never stayed anywhere with walls twoRead more foot thick before. Good heating system and generally very comfortable. Hide
