The Isle of Wight is the perfect destination if you’ve got children and dogs in tow, so why not add horses into the mix too?! Escape to this two-bed holiday property which is part of a converted Victorian barn on a smart complex with farm animals, horse riding, a play park and an equestrian arena. It’s ideal for self-catering, but there’s even an on-site restaurant for those treat days. And, of course, two furry friends are welcome to join the fun. Surrounded by countryside, this mews-style house is within 2 miles of central Newport, making it ideal for exploring the rest of the island.

The smart lounge/diner offers comfortable seating and a Smart TV for quiet evenings, with a dining table set for four at the back of the room. Practical and attractive hard flooring throughout the downstairs is just the job for potentially mucky pups. Cook up a holiday feast in the sleek modern fitted kitchen with all you’ll need in terms of equipment. Upstairs, there’s one king-size and one twin bedroom but both feature versatile zip-and-link beds, so can be either king-size or twin by arrangement. Outside, to the rear of the cottage, is the enclosed, private garden area outdoor furniture and a BBQ, while to the front is a shared garden and courtyard area with seating.

Exercise your lucky pups in their own area on site before you pick the next activity – spending quality time with the kids at the play park, enjoying the on-site restaurant and bar or taking advantage of the horse-riding activities available on this working farm. There’s quite simply loads to do and opportunities galore to make forever memories. For lovers of the outdoors, explore the island’s many walking trails which offer amazing panoramic views of the coast and countryside and are perfect for your four-legged friends.

Cleanliness was our biggest problem. The floors both up and downstairs clearly hadnt been hoovered and washed. Our feet were filthy, being a family who take shoes off when entering the building. We had a four year old typically who wanted to play with cars on floor. We complained and were told no staff. When we returned to the cottage after our dayRead more out, a packet of floor wipes and swiffer mop had been left. I guess if you want clean floors you have to do it yourself. Wow!!
